About me

Hello, I’m Teresa Henry, an artist and teacher based in Alhaurín el Grande in southern Spain.

Creativity has been a constant throughout my life. I trained in art and design in the UK and spent many years working creatively before eventually returning more fully to painting after moving to Spain.

​

My painting practice really began to take shape while travelling around Spain with my family in a motorhome. Painting became a way of recording the places, light and moments I noticed along the way, and watercolour gave me a wonderfully portable way to work. That period changed the direction of my artistic life and began the practice I continue to develop today.

My work now moves between watercolour and acrylic, from small works on paper to larger canvases. I’m constantly exploring colour, pigment, movement and the relationship between what we observe in the world and what we experience internally.

Alongside my own practice, I teach small-group art classes from my studio in the historic centre of Alhaurín el Grande. Teaching grew naturally from my love of learning and experimentation, and I love helping others discover the same freedom and enjoyment in making art.
